Pick a Spot or Seating Chart?

For smaller weddings or when guests on both sides know each other fairly well choosing a seat may be a breeze for guests. However, if your guest list is large and seating is fairly limited developing a seating plan may be wise.

From my own experience, when someone is looking for a seat and they don't spy anyone familiar they will often leave a seat between themselves and their table neighbor, even when the place is filling up. Creating a seating chart and having name plates verifies that all guests have a place to sit and ensures that the space is maximized.

If you decide to do the seating chart, here are some fun ideas to display this at your venue.

You can display them alphabetically so guests can easily find their names.

You can display them by tables.

If you don't want to use this fancy frame or have a custom huge x huge print of your seating chart, you can have more manageable sized paper on this beautified chicken-wire alternative.

Using a variety of picture frames would be a great alternative for a vintage wedding.

Again, guests can find their name alphabetically and then find their table number. A perk to this choice is that guests can choose where to sit at the table they have been assigned.

There are so many ways to customize your seating chart display, and perhaps one of these options will be perfect for you! Wishing you a happily ever after!
